Sanjay Puri, Named Co-Chair of Virginia Attorney General-Elect Bob McDonnell's Internet Fraud and Identity Theft Policy Group

"The wealth of experience they bring from the government, business and legal fields ... will enable me to get solid advice to better serve the people of Virginia"

Sanjay Puri, president and CEO of Optimos, was appointed to Attorney General-Elect Bob McDonnell's Transition Committee and named co-chair of the Internet Fraud-Identity Theft Policy Group.

The Transition Committee will advise McDonnell on policy and personnel matters as he prepares to serve as Virginia's 44th AG. The committee represents a diverse group of Virginians from all areas of the commonwealth, backgrounds and professions. In addition to assisting McDonnell in selecting the senior staff and other positions in the Office of the Attorney General, the committee includes 10 policy working groups. These working groups focus on the issues McDonnell campaigned on and will address during his first year as AG.

"I am grateful and honored to have so many dedicated and experienced Virginians who have volunteered to serve on this committee," McDonnell stated. "The wealth of experience they bring from the government, business and legal fields -- as well as the work they all do in their communities -- will enable me to get solid advice to better serve the people of Virginia as Attorney General."

"I am delighted to serve on the attorney general-elect's Transition Committee," said Puri. "As co-chair of the Internet Fraud and Identity Theft policy group, I am really looking forward to working with my colleagues in developing some sound strategies to combat these serious crimes."
