Detectives Improve Intelligence

May 21, 2003 By

DENVER -- The Seattle Police Department will begin using the ISYS line of search technology across its Criminal Intelligence section. ISYS supplies search software for business and public-sector organizations.

Seattle criminal intelligence detectives have begun using ISYS search solutions for workgroups, in addition to the ISYS:spider product for indexing and searching external Web sites. The ISYS suite of information retrieval tools is designed to help the Seattle Police Department's Criminal Intelligence section search case files more effectively, act on new intelligence as it becomes available, and share information across the department.

Based on sixth-generation technology, the ISYS suite of search solutions supports more than 30 languages and 125 file formats, including XML, HTML, Word, Excel, PDF, ZIP and OEM-defined formats. The technology offers natural-language search capabilities, as well as sophisticated query searching for advanced searches.
