OpenGov Adds Katherine August-deWilde to Board of Directors

After the addition of two advisers and a new president in March, the company’s fourth high-level appointment in 2019 gives it an experienced boards of directors, with several co-founders and partners of major businesses.

The fifth and latest high-profile executive to join OpenGov’s Board of Directors is Katherine August-deWilde, according to an announcement last week.

August-deWilde, 71, brings a career of experience related to OpenGov’s purview, budgeting and software. She is vice chair of First Republic Bank, where she has also held the titles of president, executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief financial officer over the past 34 years. She has also had leadership roles at Itel Corp., now called Anixter, and PMI Mortgage Insurance Company, after starting her career as a consultant at McKinsey & Co.

August-deWilde also serves on the boards of TriNet Group Inc., Eventbrite Inc., Sunrun Inc., and Equilar Inc., as well as advisory councils for the Stanford Center on Longevity and Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She was included in the San Francisco Business Times’ list of the most influential women in Bay Area business in 2003, 2005 and 2006 and won an Excellence in Leadership Award in 2018 from Stanford’s business school, among other professional accolades.

“The combination of OpenGov's customer base, mission and technology will continue to revolutionize how the public sector prioritizes and delivers critical services,” August-deWilde said in a statement. “I am delighted at the opportunity to help propel OpenGov's mission for all governments and the residents they serve."

She’s the fourth high-level appointment at OpenGov this year, following the selection of Maury Blackman and Karen White as advisers, and the promotion of David Reeves from chief revenue officer to president in March.
