The combined Sylantro and FirstHand solution enables fixed line carriers to extend the services of their business and residential customers to their mobile devices transparently from any wireless carrier infrastructure (i.e. Home Location registers, wireless intelligent network services, etc.). As a result, fixed line carriers have a unique opportunity to provide their customers with a rich variety of value-added services as part of a fixed and mobile solution, consolidating the relationship with their users which reduces mobile churn and increases their top line contribution.
The FirstHand Mobile Console's network-aware, unified GUI and support for single-number calling consolidates both Wi-Fi and cellular identities to provide a seamless end-user experience over both networks. The FirstHand Mobile Console utilizes the interfaces on the Synergy Synapps Server to allow users to access the same functionality from their Windows Mobile device as they currently enjoy on their desktop, including outbound calling from either the Wi-Fi or cellular domain, leveraging their business phone services, caller ID based on their business number, short digit dialing, ad-hoc mobile conferencing, and more. They can access these services seamlessly in Wi-Fi and cellular domains, as well as roam between enterprise Wi-Fi, cellular, and public Wi-Fi networks.
"I am very excited to announce this agreement with Sylantro, a market leader in hosted VoIP services with a strong vision to empower its customers with Enterprise Mobility," said James LaPalme, vice president, sales and marketing, FirstHand Technologies. "By integrating the FirstHand Mobile Console with the Sylantro Synapps best-in-class platform, enterprises will benefit from increased user productivity levels, faster customer response times, unified messaging, seamless mobility, and more."
