The company’s new tool, AI Report Generator, aims to give users a way to simplify tasks that are often manual and complex. Instead of relying on technical support to write queries, it gives a broader base of employees the ability to ask questions in natural language, delving into databases to retrieve answers. The output can happen as a filterable, sortable spreadsheet and can be exported to Excel.
Such reports might revolve around, for example, breaking down the various methods of payment being used or listing overdue invoices.
“When it comes to AI, we’re on a journey from evaluation and experimentation to an endgame with select deployments that make a positive, tangible impact in our lives and our customers’ lives,” Annia Machin, a utility billing and customer service manager for Collier County, Fla., said in a statement. “Going forward, we see a ton of potential to leverage AI in how we conduct detailed reporting and analysis, and it’s exciting to see AI tools evolve to improve our industry. We’ve only scratched the surface of InvoiceCloud’s AI’s potential, and we believe it’s a necessity to evolve our community relationships.”
That concept, of allowing users to more easily find information on their own as they need it, hews toward the company's AI plan to “embed AI into the fabric of billing workflows.”
