Partnership to Provide Portable Wireless Mesh Solutions in India

Rajant Corporation has announced a partnership agreement with India's SMR Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a multi-service technology integrator based in New Delhi, India. The partnership will leverage each company's unique strengths in wireless networking and applications to deliver a comprehensive solution for first responders, military and mining companies."We are very happy to be in partnership with Rajant," said Santosh Kumar Giri, managing director of SMR Solutions. "Rajant's wireless solutions fit in nicely with our current offerings from Dell, HP and Fujitsu. According to IDC, the domestic Information Technology market in India grew by 22.4% in 2006 and the year-on-year growth in 2007 is estimated to be 21.5% in 2007, making it the fastest growing market in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, local governments in India are aggressive in utilizing technology to meet the demands of emergencies and disaster recovery.
