Trapeze Upgrades to VeriWave WLAN Test Platform

Comprehensive performance test suite optimizes voice and quality.

Trapeze Networks is leveraging VeriWave, Inc.'s comprehensive performance analysis system to deliver the industry's first toll-quality voice-over-WLANs (VoWLAN). Trapeze chose VeriWave's WaveTest 90 system to test its recently released Mobility System Software 5.0 which overcomes quality limitations that have delayed adoption of Voice-over-WLAN (VoWLAN) in the enterprise. In order to establish these new key benchmarks for voice quality, scalability, security and overall network performance, Trapeze utilized the automated, repeatable, and high performance testing offered by VeriWave's WaveTest 90 system and VoIP / Quality of Service (QoS) application suite.

Beyond Interoperability: Testing for Performance
Late last year, VeriWave introduced the industry's most comprehensive test system for WLAN networks. The WaveTest platform provides large scale, automated testing for wireless networks by creating thousands of configurable clients across a large number of Access Points. WaveTest has the ability to recreate conditions observed during client roaming due to interference, client contention, security and other factors that impact network performance. All tests are repeatable and automated which shortens test cycles, lowers test cost and increases test coverage. The newly announced VoIP/QoS Service Assurance Test Suite includes applications that validate and ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in high performance Voice over WLAN (VoWLAN) networks.
