Under terms of the agreement, Trinity Valley will implement a fleet-wide deployment of Wireless Matrix Terrestrial MBS2 communication units, accompanying airtime, and FleetOutlook vehicle monitoring services. These will be deployed in combination with Milsoft Utility Solutions' Dispatch Outage Management application, and the in-vehicle client, Milsoft Unplugged. The combined services will provide Trinity Valley with real-time position and data updates from their vehicles in the field, supporting vehicle management, technician deployment, and critical service and repair operations.
The T-MBS2 supports GPRS EDGE and 802.11 connectivity and GPS positioning information. Paired with the vehicle location, mapping and reporting capabilities of FleetOutlook, the Wireless Matrix solution enables real-time vehicle communications and management.
Headquartered in Kaufman, TX, Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative is an electric distribution cooperative serving over 59,000 meters in the region southeast of Dallas, TX.
"We are looking forward to the deployment of Wireless Matrix into our fleet of service vehicles," states Jeff Lane, dispatch manager for Trinity Valley, "and to the many benefits it will bring to the cooperative, such as safety and outage restoration."
