Don't bunch up!

My observation is that the command to, "Don't bunch up" was pretty well ignored—if it was ever given." Normal spacing for armored vehicle movement would be 100 meters between vehicles—for exactly the reason that this ambush shows.

They are also moving through an urban area. The idea is to operate as "combined arms" with a mix of tank and infantry supporting one another. Tanks are particularly vulnerable (as shown in the video above) in urban areas. They need "dismounted infantrymen" walking alongside them. It may slow them down, but ... it beats the alternative they experienced in this incident.
