OK, now a few questions.
Is the job of emergency manager to know what is going on, have the best view available to aid in deploying resources appropriate.y?
If a drone shows what it looks like with the tornado approaching, wouldn't it be even more useful immediately after to help look for those needing assistance, damage assessment, prioritization of resource deployment?
As a communicator, is it or is it not your job to do provide the best possible information about what is going on right now? Could you do any better in letting people know than hooking one of these things up to say, a Meerkat or Periscope?
If you don't have the drone video before, during or after an emergency, aren't you going to feel a really strong urge to get a hold of that video just as soon as you can? And if so, wouldn't it really be better to have it in the first place?
If you understand what I'm asking here, are you working on getting drones and drone operators in your next budget cycle?
