America, Get Ready for Seattle-Sized Economic Impacts

What you can expect to happen where you live and work.

As the coronavirus COVID-19 takes hold in the United States, we will begin to see Seattle-style economic impacts everywhere. See this Seattle Times article that points to early impacts, Coronavirus Hurting Puget Sound Economy: How Bad Could It Get?

It could be possible that the wave of COVID-19 is only a 2-3 month blip on the economic radar screen. However, the idea, or shall I say hope, that people will flock back to Seattle this summer for travel and vacations is not something I would bank on. 2020 is shaping up to be a "bummer year" in the Seattle travel industry, across the board. Ships, hotels, tours, dining out, etc.
