Another Inflated Study of Citizen Preparedness

I think the people asking the questions and those answering the questions wake up in the morning and take a happy pill before taking the survey.

See How Prepared Is Your Community for an Emergency?, a Governing article on how different areas of the nation rate when it comes to disaster preparedness at the citizen level.

I don't believe these numbers any more than I have believed earlier national surveys. I think we'd be lucky if emergency managers had the numbers provided in the survey.

Maybe someday I'll try to do my own unscientific survey and see what the results are.
