Children and COVID — Your Questions Answered

Good information for parents and grandparents.

Speaking as a parent, I’m not a worrier, but when the kids are really sick it can be scary. The problem for parents of children up to age 11 is that there are only two things you can do to protect them — masks and social distancing.

Younger children gravitate to one another, so the social distancing mantra can be hard to enforce and they do need to play.

I thought that this The Daily podcast, “Children and COVID: Your Questions Answered,” had some really good information, recognizing that COVID-19 is a novel virus and there is still much we don’t know. Throw in the delta variant and even I could start worrying about my grandchildren.

It may not totally soothe your nerves, but reliable information is what we all need. When the person being interviewed doesn’t know the answer — she says so on the podcast.
