Don't You Hate It When People Record Things That Disagree with What You Have Just Said?

Every time a camera is pointed at a politician in 2020, the "record button" is pushed.

Fact checking by the media has become a national pastime -- replacing baseball, since it is not being played.

See this CNN piece fact-checking the governor of Florida about what he was saying for who is to blame for people's complacency in his state. An old sergeant major once highlighted the fact that, "When you point your finger, there are four fingers pointing back at you."

Admittedly, being an elected governor in the era of the coronavirus is difficult. You are damned if you do and damned if you don't.

However, about this "damning thing," why not allow for flexibility for action by cities and counties in your home state? What is the worst thing that can happen to you politically? You are allowing local jurisdictions to make choices, since "freedom" is a major platform point. Which brings me to the governor of Georgia, who prohibited cities and counties from instituting mask mandates in their jurisdictions.

What is he thinking?! All the medical professionals, of all stripes, are saying, "Wear a mask," and he is prohibiting the behavior in his state. Whatever his rationale is, it will likely come back to bite him in the future.
