I noted that it is a project position that has a definite term limit, but if you are "in the hunt" then this might be for you. Especially if you are looking to gain some experience, but I noted that they want someone with five years experience.
It might be an interesting position. The primary duties are described as being:
Leads multi-agency teams to design, conduct, evaluate, and follow-up on emergency response exercises featuring public health scenarios. Performs exercise needs analysis, develops exercise objectives, and produces an exercise scenario consistent with objectives. Develops and applies an exercise evaluation methodology and tracks corrective actions identified during exercises. Works with training managers to ensure training gaps identified during exercises are addressed by subsequent training and serves as the scheduling point of contact for all public health emergency exercises within the state. Coordinates all exercises having a public health emergency response between multiple jurisdictions across the state. Travels to local health jurisdictions and hospitals to provide on-site technical assistance in the design, conduct, and evaluation of integrated public health and hospital disaster exercises. Evaluates local public health emergency response plans and develops, delivers, and evaluates emergency preparedness training. Serves as a member of the DOH Emergency Response team including working in the agency or state Emergency Operations Center during drills, exercises, or actual emergencies. Periodically functions as one of the agency's 24/7 Emergency Duty Officers.
