Job: Emergency Management Coordinator, Pierce County, Wash.

A limited-duration position, likely three years.

Pierce County, Wash., has just announced a job opening for an emergency management coordinator. The background on this comes from the Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant Program (RCPG).

There are two RCPG grants already in the works for an eight-county region here in western Washington, both dealing with logistics. Pierce County submitted an application for a 2022 grant on behalf of the region. This position will help lead that effort, and because it is grant-supported, it is limited in duration.
Eric Holdeman is a contributing writer for Emergency Management magazine and is the former director of the King County, Wash., Office of Emergency Management.
