Jobs: Social Media Positions at FEMA

Exciting times at FEMA when it comes to social media.

This just in--but, not much time to apply:

Exciting things are happening with the social media team at FEMA – we’re expanding!  I wanted to pass along the positions we’re advertising right now and let you know there are more to come. In addition to the five that are listed below, there are four more scheduled to go up on the USA jobs site in the next few days.

Here is the rundown on the jobs:

  • These are all new positions.  That means the people who fill these roles will have a large stake in building our team “from the ground up” and break new ground on a daily basis
  • These positions are designated as CORE, which means:
    • They will work on disaster-related projects and priorities, so they’ll be fast-paced and work on highly visible initiatives
    • The positions have 2-year terms, with the possibility for renewal following the two years, depending on available funding & need
    •  We’re looking for people willing to push the envelope, be creative, and set the gold standard for digital engagement before/during/after disasters

The jobs open now expire Thursday, November 14.  As I mentioned, be on the lookout for the rest of the postings soon.  If you’re interested, please go ahead and apply.  If you know someone who would be great in any of these roles, feel free to pass this information along to them.
