More Drastic Action Needed for COVID-19 Crisis

Looking around the world, we are only now catching up here in the USA.

France announced a total lock down today except to go to work, food/drugs, and the hospital. Spain went into lock down over the weekend. See International Updates.

In Britain the Prime Minister is encouraging people to stay home, but did not go as far as closing restaurants and pubs. I expect that will come later--after it gets worse. The same for the United States. The President is encouraging people to social distance for 13 days, but no mandates.

While here in Washington State the governor shut down restaurants, bars, etc. except for drive through pick-ups. Millennials you can still avoid cooking! My worst-case situation developed today. This Washington State closure also impacts Happy Donuts in Puyallup. What will I do?

I'm thinking the entire nation should have been told to go into self-isolation (I don't like this word, since it confuses people with those who are actually sick--and should be in isolation).

Note, in China, if a family member was found to be infected with the virus they were removed from the home. Women, men and children were all separated out to different locations where they could be monitored and provided more medical interventions if required.
