My daughter Emily was never very good at keeping a disaster kit in her car when she was a teenager. I'd put together a bag, put it in the trunk of her car and then it would "disappear." When she was about to travel to Disney World for an internship while attending college, her friend's dad checked the trunk for a disaster kit and only found a bottle of Eternity perfume. She was well prepared for a 2,800 mile trip!
This past weekend I was at a preparedness event hosted in Shoreline and
American Preparedness was there. Emily, now almost 38 with two small children of her own, came to mind so I figured I'd try--one more time.
I purchased this four person kit available from Costco.
Think about the people you love and maybe there is a gift giving opportunity coming up where you can purchase something for them, that they likely don't have today and might need tomorrow.
