Presidential Declaration for Puerto Rico Earthquake

Finally a declaration for Puerto Rico

Just yesterday I posted a chart on the time lag between earthquake events and presidential declarations, see Earthquake Events and FEMA Declarations.

Then today (actually late Thursday), Trump approves the Puerto Rico disaster declaration.

That declaration moves up the time lag to be one of the fastest--for 'minor' events. I still think with the images of the damages in a place other than Puerto Rico, it would have been faster still.

Also, note the billions of dollars being finally released by HUD for hurricane reconstruction.
