Put the August Solar Eclipse on Your Calendar

What are you doing on August 21, 2017?

A total solar eclipse is a fairly rare event. Even rarer is one that crosses the continental United States. SeePath for Solar Eclipse to see if you are in the bull's-eye of people who might be flocking to your area to view the event.

I know that portions of Oregon are in the path, and its Office of Emergency Management is gearing up for the event, a bit less than four months away. I think some are concerned that some of the "gatherings" could end up being something like Burning Man events in the desert. Planned, unplanned, social-media-fueled bacchanal gatherings.

Or, you could just go to Sturgis! Too bad they will miss the eclipse, or why not stay an extra couple of weeks and drop on down to Oregon.
