Volcanic Disaster in New Zealand
An unexpected disaster!
It is possible that the volcano had no instrumentation on it, but "normally" an eruption does not happen without some form of warning. There are earthquakes, tremors movement of magma, etc. It would appear none of that happened, or? More details are likely to come out.
