Washington State Poised to Establish a Drone Coordinator

Moving drones into the mainstream of government operations.

The Washington state House of Representatives just passed a bill (98 to 0), HB 2836 - 2019-20, Establishing an unpiloted aircraft system state coordinator.

This position will be located in the Department of Transportation and in the Aviation Division. The state of Idaho has already authorized the creation of a similar position, also with their aviation folks.
