The Future of Work and the Health-Care Workforce — ICYMI

Norma Padron, CEO and founder of EmpiricaLab, talks about health-care workforce challenges, the importance of facilitating collaboration in a hybrid world and how tech will help health-care teams work and learn better.

The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the growing shortage of health-care workers — particularly in rural areas of the country. Media coverage often focused on the sizable percentage of workers leaving their positions due to pandemic-related job stress, and the diminished morale among those who remained.

This workforce shortage doesn't just apply to clinicians but also those working behind the scenes collecting and analyzing data to make sure that health-care services are being provided more efficiently and at a consistently high level of quality. Such positions are only going to become more vital as we move toward a future of digital and virtual services.

This week, Dustin Haisler is joined by Norma Padron, CEO and founder of EmpiricaLab, to discuss the need to deliver training to non-clinical health-care workers at a time when hybrid and remote work have caused significant disruptions.
