Understanding Where AI Is Headed and How to Secure It — ICYMI

Cybersecurity expert Daniel Charboneau discusses the intersection of AI and cybersecurity and how personal AI will change the way citizens interact with government agencies in the future.

Generative AI has been the hot topic in tech for almost a year now ... and like all technologies, it has the potential for both positive and negative outcomes.

Cybersecurity expert Daniel Charboneau warns that our traditional security tools aren't yet ready for the different level of risk posed by personalized AI. Seeing the extent of current attacks at a time when the tech is still in its infancy leads him to believe that we will soon be seeing a large uptick in successful cyber attacks on a scale and pace that no one is prepared for.

In this episode of ICYMI, Daniel, Dustin and Joe discuss the positive ways that personal AI could impact citizens and government — as well as the risks, the need for workforce training and guidance, the potential of future security solutions (such as fully homomorphic encryption) and current solutions such as fully functional data-in-use encryption.
