Vermont Auditors Crack State's New Finance System

More than 400 employees with access to the finance system didn't change generic passwords.

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- State auditors with no specialized computer training last week breached the security of Vermont's new financial accounting system, showing that for 10 months, someone bent on fraud would have had access to millions of dollars in public funds.
