Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry signed into law Senate Bill 1394, known as the Criminal Justice Computer Assistance Act.
The law formalizes the Offender Data Information System (ODIS) project of the Oklahoma Criminal Justice Resource Center (OCJR). Formalization will facilitate processes of the ODIS by making the project more legitimate, making it easier for OCJR to sign ODIS-related agreements, and making it possible for the project to receive state appropriations in the future.
