Tony Sauerhoff

Officially named to his post leading Texas IT in March, Tony Sauerhoff outlines his approach to leadership and weighs in on some of the biggest challenges before him as state chief information officer.

The Department of Information Resources board approved his appointment Friday as DIR executive director and CIO, after an in-depth search. Sauerhoff had been serving in an interim capacity since January.

Tony Sauerhoff, who also previously served as state chief information security officer, was appointed interim executive director of the Texas Department of Information Resources and interim CIO.
