(TNS) — Electric vehicle drivers might be saying goodbye to the stress of finding nearby chargers with a new feature rolling out soon on Google Maps.

The map service announced Wednesday that it is working on adding information about EV chargers so drivers can get detailed directions to the nearest spot. Google said to expect the feature "in the coming months."

Even in difficult-to-navigate areas like parking garages, AI technology will take information from past user reviews to guide drivers right to the EV charger.

Users with in-car maps will have the ability to see chargers in the area as well as details on availability and charging speed. For longer trips, Google Maps will show travelers the best route for access to EV chargers based on the car's battery level.

Google says vehicles with its software built in will get the new features first.

Drivers of electric vehicles can help contribute to the new feature by providing information on Google reviews about how to access chargers.
