IT's Role in Solving Pennsylvania's Budget Problem

Shared services can help streamline government operations, saving taxpayer money in the process. Pennsylvania is counting on it.

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf's State of the State address in February underscored the commonwealth's lingering budget woes, encouraging decision-makers to support policies that would put them on a "sustainable fiscal course." 

At the 2017 NASCIO Midyear Conference this week, CIO John MacMillan talked about a recently embarked-upon shared services project that will help move Pennsylvania back into the black.
