Euna Solutions Beefs Up AI Grant Tech via Acquisition

The company has bought GrantExec, a young company that uses artificial intelligence to help match grant providers with recipients. The deal is not Euna’s first foray into grant administration technology.

Matching grant money to worthy recipients can often make otherwise moderately emotional professionals pull out their hair.

But a new government technology acquisition by Euna Solutions aims to bring AI-powered efficiency to that labor-intensive process.

The Atlanta-based company has bought GrantExec, though terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2022, GrantExec, with headquarters in the Washington, D.C., area, uses artificial intelligence to “organize tens of thousands of live grant opportunities from both government and private funders and providing structured guidance and intelligent research tools,” according to a statement.

That service can help organizations “efficiently and effectively” find, evaluate and seek relevant funding from governments and philanthropic operations.

The deal adds to Euna’s grant portfolio.

The company, which also sells procurement, budgeting, payments and other software to public agencies including schools, special districts and tribal nations, about a year ago bought grant management tech provider AmpliFund.

“Grant discovery is one of the most time-consuming and fragmented parts of the grants process,” said Tom Amburgey, CEO of Euna Solutions, in the statement. “With the acquisition of GrantExec, we’re enhancing our grants research offering with additional AI-powered intelligence that will help customers identify the right opportunities faster, so they can focus on delivering meaningful outcomes for their communities.”

Euna will absorb the GrantExec workforce and integrate that company’s offerings into the Euna Grants platform.

Euna serves more than 3,600 North American clients.

“Joining Euna Solutions is an exciting next chapter for GrantExec,” said Ryan Alcorn, CEO of GrantExec, in the statement. “From the beginning, our goal has been to remove barriers between mission-driven organizations and the funding that fuels their work. Euna Solutions shares that vision and has the scale, reach and commitment to customer success needed to take our technology even further.”
