(TNS) — The City of Greenville has rolled out a redesigned website and a new mobile app intended to make city services and information easier to access.

The city announced Thursday that both the website and the app, called GreenLINK, are now live. Officials said the changes are part of a broader effort to update how residents interact with local government.

The new website includes simplified navigation, a modern design and updated content. One of its main features is ReciteMe, an accessibility tool that allows users to have text read aloud, translate content into other languages, and adjust settings such as font size and color contrast.

The city also switched to a shorter web address, www.greenvilletx.gov, which replaces www.ci.greenville.tx.us. City staff emails will transition to the new domain later this year.

“Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to modernize the way we connect with the people of Greenville,” said Daniel Starks, communications manager for the city. “This is a meaningful step toward making our services more transparent and easier to use – and we’re not done yet.”

Alongside the new website, the city has launched GreenLINK, a free mobile app designed to give residents fast, easy access to city services. By downloading the app — search “GreenLINK TX” in an app store and look for the City of Greenville logo, or go to https://tinyurl.com/k9tdkc3f on a mobile device — users can:

– View upcoming events and city updates

– Contact departments and submit questions

– Report concerns such as code violations or service issues

– Pay utility bills and city fees

– Receive push notifications for emergencies, water outages and other alerts (coming soon)

GreenLINK is available on both iOS and Android devices.

“While tools like GreenLINK aren’t a fix-all, they represent a strong step toward building better communication between residents and their city government,” Starks said. “Our hope is that these improvements make it easier for people to stay connected, informed and involved.”
