2014 Quadrennial Homeland Security Review

Surprisingly there was no mention of climate change or climate adaptation.

The latest edition of the Quadrennial Homeland Security Review (QHSR) was published on June 18.

The one big surprise for me was that (in the executive summary anyway) there was no mention of climate change or climate adaptation. I just don't get that!

And, to their credit, they do mention and promise to fix the poor morale within the department. Usually you don't see organizations like the U.S. Department of Homeland Security calling out their deficiencies in such a prominent way. The only way to get better is to be self-aware and then work to correct the problems.

Maybe they have turned a corner?
