Despite its name, Dallas Data calls Pennsylvania home, and it will give Caselle access to a wider market, according to the statement announcing the deal.
Caselle, based in Utah, is part of Govineer Solutions, a combination of three companies that launched last year and has more than 2,000 clients. Peterson Partners, a private equity firm, backs Govineer.
Caselle expects to benefit from the “strong client relationships and regional experience” claimed by Dallas Data, which serves cities, boroughs and townships.
“Dallas Data Systems has built deep trust with its clients and shares our values around service, integrity and community,” said Caselle CEO Scott Cook in the statement.
Dallas Data traces its origins back three decades and had a “long-standing partnership” with Caselle before the acquisition, according to the statement.
“Joining forces with Caselle presents an exciting opportunity to continue serving our clients with enhanced resources and support,” said Matt Dallas, founder and president of Dallas Data Systems, in the statement. “Our shared commitment to excellence and community-focused solutions ensures a seamless transition and continued success for our clients.”
Caselle said that clients of Dallas Data now will gain more access to Caselle technology, better product capabilities and a broader customer service network.
As the two companies come together, billing in general might be getting a makeover via artificial intelligence.
InvoiceCloud, which sells payment and customer engagement tools to governments and utilities, recently said it was using AI to automate the generation of reports that could cover such areas as unpaid invoices and the payment methods being used.
