(TNS) — Despite the effects of a cybersecurity attack on Friday, Kearney Public Schools will have classes Monday.

“Last Friday, our district’s technology network was compromised by a cybersecurity attack. Since then, our KPS technology team, in coordination with external experts, has been working diligently to identify the source of the attack and restore our systems,” KPS said in a news release.

KPS said the recovery process will not be complete before the start of school Monday. School phones, computers and other network-dependent systems will be unavailable.

If people need to contact the school, they should do so in person.
